Prayer services for Ester Marie McKee, 88, of Sparta will be held at 7 p.m. this evening (Wednesday) at the King Funeral Home in Sparta. Rev. John Stahlman will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Graveside services, with Rev. Elwyn Tedford officiating, will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday morning at Union Cemetery.
Mrs. McKee died Monday, March 20 at the Sparta Community Hospital.
She was born October 17, 1900 at Red Bud, a daughter of the late Fred and Ida Degener. October 4, 1919 she was married at Sparta to Edwin David McKee, who preceded her in death.
Beside her husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, a set of twins, three sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Maxine Sons of Springfield, and one grandson, Larry Schulte of Sparta.
The deceased was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church.
