Edna M. Mulholland, 77, of Chester, formerly of Sparta, died Friday, March 17 at her home. She was the retired owner of EE & W Paper Supply at Sparta.

She was born October 22, 1911 at Festus, MO, a daughter of Edward H. and Elvina Pearl Beattie McKee. June 29, 1928 she was married at Crystal City, Missouri to J. Earl Mulholland. He died in 1980.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers.

She is survived by one son, John Mulholland of Chester; one daughter, Barbara P. Phelps of Derby, KS; one brother, Vance McKee of Michigan; two sisters, Gertrude R. Peredoe of Houston, TX and Barbara A. Bayasse of Arkansas; nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mulholland was a member of Past Noble Grands of Rebekah Lodge 366 of Sparta, a chapter member of the Randolph County Nursing Home Auxiliary, member of VFW Auxiliary Post 2698 of Sparta, and a member of the First United Methodist Church at Chester. She was a Senior Citizen volunteer at Chester.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Mondaay at the Schroeder-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, with Rev. Joseph Scheets officiating. Burial was in Paradise Cemetery at Steeleville.
