Clem O. Wiley, born near Preston, Ill., May 9, 1867. Died near Sparta Jan 23, at 1:45 a.m., 1916.

He was married at Salem, Ill., March 22, 1890 to Miss Margaret J. Skinner. Since his marriage, with the exception of about four years, he has lived in Randolph county.

In 1896 he united with the united Presbyterian church at union, under the pastorate of Rev. Nat Childs.

Mr. Wiley is survived by his widow and the following children: William F., Mrs. Martha B. Sloeven, Ethel V., Albert, John, Lucille and Vernon.

The funeral service was held Monday at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Childs at Union church, and the burial was made in the Union cemetery.

Mr. Wiley was rated a good man by his neighbors and friends, and many are the regrets expressed on account of his death.
