Aged Rosborough Farmer Succumbs
Robert McKee Had Spent Life on One Farm

Robert McKee, aged farmer of near Rosborough, several miles southeast of Sparta, died at his home, where he had spent all of his life, last Friday, at the advanced age of 75 years, 6 months, and 9 days. He had been in ill health for many years, had been seriously ill for two years and was bedfast for 14 days prior to his death.

Funeral services were conducted at the Sparta M.C. Church at 1 o’clock, Sunday afternoon, by Rev. B. H. Batson, the pastor. Interment was made at Caledonia cemetery.

Robert McKee was born August 6, 1853 on the farm where he died. He was united in marriage on December 24, 1890 to Miss Ella Jones and to this union was born five children, one of whom, a daughter (Pearl), died 18 April 1904, at the age of 5 years 10 months. The surviving children are Mrs. Addie Curtis of Sparta, Earl of Winkle, Ivan of Sparta and Leona at home. Early in life Mr. McKee joined the Baptist church at Swanwick.
