Turkey Island is an island in the Mississippi River in the SW corner of this township. It is unknown as to whether it was ever inhabited.

Kellogg is located on the RR at the Mississippi River. It is now a loading dock. A depot was located here that was for freight. In 1898 H P Roberts opened a store and est. a post office under the name of Forman. The named was changed to Missouri Junction in 1902, but on current maps it is Kellogg, most likely because the Kellogg Coal Company uses it as a loading dock.

Mudds Landing was located a few miles west of Kellogg, It was apparently the original loading dock on the river, Nothing remains today.
