I'm searching for any info about any Seibold that lived in Randolph Co. My
family moved into the county between 1855 and 1857 and the majority of them
stayed there, I'm told that at last communications about 1970's alot of them

to get them to contact me. Thanks, Cindy

Looking for information on my gg-grandfather, Isaac Ketchum. He was born around
1806 in Virginia; migrated to Tennessee then Missouri and, supposedly, to
Randolph Co, Illinois around 1860s. Sources indicate he died in Randolph Co,
but I have been unable to locate anything about this. His son, William Riley
Ketchum lived in Randolph Co and had a number of children born there. Any
information on Isaac would be appreciated.

Surnames: GORDON YOUNG LIGGET/LEGGETT BECK
Submitter: John McCullough ([email protected])
Date: 06 Nov 2002
Mary Gordon married Thomas Ligget/Leggett in PA and are listed in the Randolph
Co. 1850 Census. Thomas died in 1851, was buried at Jones Cemetery, near Percy.
A Mary Ligget is also listed there dying in 1853. The tombstone date of birth
is consistent with Mary Gordon's birth, yet a Mary Ligget is found in 1860
Randolph Co. census for Robert Morrison, also containing Henry Beck who's
deceased wife was Margaret Gordon, Mary's sister. Both Mary Ligget and Henry
Beck show up again in Robert Morrison's 1870 Randolph Co. census. Question:
what is the relationship between the Mary Ligget buried with Thomas at the
Jones Cemetery and the Mary Liggets' listed in the two Robert Morrison's
census?

My family records show one of my ancestors, Nancy Ellen HOOK was born in
Chester, IL. I haven't had success in finding her family. However, today while
visiting Chester, IL I saw a family interred in the Evergreen Cemetery spelled
HOECK. Does anybody have this family cataloged or have relavent census,
interment or other records? Nancy Ellen HOOK was born 23 DEC 1853 in Chester and
died 28 FEB 1929 in Thebes, IL. I don't know where she was buried. Her husband
was Dennis Ray PEARSON born 23 August 1853, Crane (Crain) Island, IL, and died
23 FEB 1952 Crane (Crain) Island, IL. Any information on the PEARSON family or
the history of Crane Island would also be appreciated. My understanding is that
Crane Island was washed away by the Mississippi River. Thanks, Dave

Searching for any information on my gr grandparents.. John Falck, b: 1841 and
Wilhelmina Schmidt b: 1843. They are listed in the 1870 Census of Randolph Co,
Chester P.O. They were both immigrants from Germany, location unknown. Although
on Wilhelmina's death record states she was from Nassau, Germany. They came to
the USA in about 1864, married in McLean County, IL in March 1868. They had 11
children, Lydia, Ida, John, Mary Louise, Paulina, Olga, George Arthur, Emma,
names of other children are unknown. Their marriage record shows Wilhelmina's
name as Joanette E.P.W Schmidt. On some records John's surname is spelled Falk.
Believe they lived only a short time in Randolph Co., as by the 1880 Census
were residents of McLean County, IL. They probably lived in a German speaking
community. By 1890 they had moved to Kansas City, KS. Think they may have come
to the USA with other members of their family, and not alone. Would appreciate
hearing from anyone who might help me locate some information on these people.
