Sara McHenry b. Sparta Apr. 9, 1845 m. Sparta Jul. 21, 1864. She d. Apr. 24, 1916 ? Absolom d. Jul. 24, 1910 at South Bend, In. They had 8 children two of which died in infancy and are probably buried in Randolph Co. near Sparta Samuel Palmer Johnston b.28/7/1872 d. 6/4/1874 and Artur Dewitt Johnston b. 23/3/1881 d. 23/3/1881. Clarissa Ann later m. Thomas McNeil and they had two children and information I have says she was buried at Chester. I have no idea what happened to Isaac Johnston I assume he died.

I have a baptismal certificate for my g-grandfather Carl Heinrich Wilhelm RUSCHE. He was born 1873 in Horsecreek,IL. His parents were named Heinrich Rusche and Katarina DICKS Rusche. I am trying to find out if they married in IL. or in Germany. I found them in the 1900 Census of OK., it said they were married the same year they immigrated. It also had listed 2 children who had died. I'm trying to find out if they were buried in IL. There is also listed in the 1900 OK.Census, an Oscar Rusche. Searching for any information on my gg-grandfather Marion SLUSHER b. about 1848 and d. 1924. Married Margaret Ann MATHIS b. 1850, d. 1924. Family story says that Marion's family was killed by indians all except him and a brother. They family was supposed to be traveling west at the time from place unknown. He and his brother were separated and taken in by different families and were never in contact again. Marion did not know his birthdate or place. SLUSHER may even be the name of the family that took him in and not his own. Does anyone have any information on this family individuals. The tiniest clue will be greatly appreciated. It was told that an uncle from the father's side, came to Oregon from Illinois and took the children back to Illinois with him. Nothing is known about them since that time. I am hoping this Uncle still lived in Chester, IL and that is where he brought the children back to. The time period I believe may have been the early 1900's.
